To make life easier for those kind enough to offer help, and to combat my climbing stress and deadline failures, Ive bit the bigger bullet and purchased another 10x20 canopy tent complete. This one is a white cover (cooler in Summer), and while this negates the efforts thus far, it will eliminate all the issues associated with trying to 'create' a tent out there.
The cost is being borne by immediate family, to help keep Dad sane.
Should take alot of pressure of Kevin and Dan and Tony also. It also takes the "what-if" out of any scenario whereby the components, or the design, fails in execution; forcing a non-existent Plan B just days (or hours) before the event. Too close for me; this was slated for completion on my calendar a MONTH ago! This is why Ive spent the last 7 months getting ready for just this day!!
So, I am pulling the plug on the homemade EMT canopy frame.
